lyrics
And when the light dimmed
We buried our dead
With heavy, sore limbs
Nothing was said.
The Silence Knew
The world was anew
Treading softly, with care
We honoured our dead
With mouths raised to the sky
We screamed out their name.
The birds fell down
The sorrowful sound
We exhaled, sighed our love
Breathless and true
Reddened eyes and tightened lungs
A life to undo.
The star struck down
The light’s sonic hush.

This album so perfectly captures the wall of noise sound that I was amazingly surprised when I first heard it. That being said though, there are perfectly amazing periods of calm drone that break it up and make it almost this perfect mixture. clouddasher

Mt Mountajn, for all of their distinctiveness, still continue to progress and evolve their sound. This is a sinewy, slightly leaner beast than previous releases. The songs are briefer, slightly more melodic; perhaps the influence of Stephen Bailey’s solo explorations?
The songs are still iterations of tension and gloom. Mt Mountain have honed their music into a uniquely powerful form of minimalist psychedelic brutalism. Theirs is a menacing, looping drone, always threatening to explode. Michael Mueller
